The Gaston Beauty Pageant will be held April 28, 2018 at 3:00 at the Civic Center, 131 North Carlisle Street in Gaston. Registration is at 2:00. Applications will be available at Town Hall. All winners will be able to ride on the Pageant float provided by Town of Gaston at the Gaston Parade on October 6, 2018

Gaston Collard and Barbeque Festival begins October 5, 2018 at 5pm with the Barbeque competition which last all night. On Saturday, October 6, 2018, the parade starts at 10am. Lineup for the parade at 9:30 at Frances Mack Intermediate School located at 161 Gaston Street. Following the parade, the festival will begin at 131 North Carlisle Street behind Town Hall. David Cooler will be performing on the stage outside from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Nancy's Karaoke will also be present. Magic Show in the Auditorium. Announcements for the winners of the Barbeque Festival will be made around 12:00. Free rides for everyone. Crafters, vendors, exhibitors will be there. The Kitchen will open around 11:30 and will be selling Collard and Barbeque Plates which include collards, barbeque, black eyed peas, macaroni and cheese, cornbread, pound cake and tea or lemonade.
