Prosperity's Hoppin' with Arts and Crafts

The first Saturday in May, Prosperity is Hoppin' with Arts and Crafts. We celebrate not only our local arts and crafts stores, and the art center located in our town, but also the arts and fine crafts of over 35 juried vendors on our square, which will be closed to traffic.

If you don't find what you want and need on the square (we can't imagine that!), we're sure you'll find it at the Prosperity Flea Market in the Grace Street Parking lot adjacent to the square.

Prosperitty's Hoppin festival is also about our town's history, This year our focus is trains and our "classroom" is the only restored train depot in Newberry County, which is on our Town Square. There will be model train displays, storytelling, and train memorabiia for children and adults.

Oh yea, and you can take your picture in front of the depot with the largest sculpture of a frog in the Southeast by local metal artist James Sizemore. Why? Because our town was once known as Frog Level.

Food? Don't worry about it. With several local restaurants downtown, food trucks on the square, and other local food vendors, you are taken car of. Oh yea, and we will have plenty of frog legs for you to enjoy this year...remember that Frog Level thing.

A certified 5K run and 3 mile walk, architectural and history walking tours, and a vintage car show round out our Hoppin' Celebration. There is definitely something for everyone.
