| Description: | From Sweetgrass Cultural Arts Festival Website: Saturday, June 4, 2016, from 12 pm to 7 pm, at Memorial Waterfront Park in Mount Pleasant. This annual event is designed to promote and preserve the Gullah Geechee peoples' history, heritage, culture and traditions. Visitors will find sweetgrass baskets and other artwork and crafts available for purchase, basketmaking demonstrations, and children's activities. Entertainment will include the Secret Band, the Imani Milele Children's Choir, Adande African Drummers and Dancers, and Gullah Storytellers. There is no charge for admission or for parking. We hope you will join us!
